The group shots are of workshops at our preseason training weekend. Team shot is the Wanganui Umpires appearing for the first time ! Andrew Lodge won the Hugh Stratford Trophy and Mark Elliott was voted Central Districts Umpire of the Year by his umpiring colleagues. This is the first year this award has been awarded and Mark was a worthy winner.

Retention of umpires is an issue for some. Marlborough Cricket Umpires recognised the great service of local umpire Owen Robinson recently. Owen is being presented with a certificate marking his outstanding achievement in umpiring 150 premier games of cricket in Marlborough by Marlborough Cricket Umpires President Vern Payne.
CD Umpires started an exchange with the Illawarra Umpires of NSW last season. Pictured are Dave Paterson who was CD’s first exchange umpire to travel with Illawarra umpire Dave Dobinson who umpired in Hawkes Bay later in the season.
